Another successful fight for a trash-free sea!!

The weather on September 20th did not dishearten our team from joining forces at the Annual Coastal Clean-up in Boca Raton, Florida. The clean-up event has grown stronger since its inception, and has become a remarkable activity aimed at helping our ocean environment.

At this year’s event, a dead jellyfish, lots of plastic debris and bags, cigarette butts, straws, and some pieces of plastic hangers were found in the area assigned to us, inside the mangroves at the intra-coastal waterway in the Spanish River Park.

We’re very grateful to the Ocean Conservancy for their amazing work each year at this event. Special appreciation goes out to our partners, Gene Evans and Marta Garrido, from Merit International School of Languages, in Boca Raton! We had a great time coordinating the participation of students, and especially enjoyed raising awareness about the importance of keeping our environment safe and clean.

Valuable contribution from the community

Most students appear to have been motivated to collaborate in future clean-up events. We value the participation of everyone in this adventure against plastic pollution. This is the time to once again thank all the volunteers and supporters who have always shown their untiring commitment to this event. We felt badly that some kind volunteers were not able to attend due to some inclement weather conditions, but we know they tried hard to be there. Many thanks, also, to Miguel Gomez, CEO of Green Food in Spain, who has joined to support the team in its fight against pollution.

Thank you to everyone who lent a hand to help and support us – let’s do it again!.
